We did indeed. Mae came into town for about a day. She arrived at midnight on Thursday eve/ Friday morning and left Saturday around 10 am. That seems like not much time(and it really isn't) but we jam packed it with so much good. Around 12:15 - 15 mins after I picked her up from the bus - we were sitting at a familiar bar enjoying adult beverages. What is weird about Mae is that even if the excitement of her arrival hasn't worn off we sort of just fall into normal. It is always like she hasn't left me. I hadn't seen her in 5 months. It didn't matter.
The next morning we were hungover - but awake and off for coffee and food. We caught pokemon for hours and then met up with some girls and played more pokemon. We ended up at a party - interesting to say the least - and partied the night away.
I don't know why I'm explaining this to my public blog but here we go. I don't become fond of people easily. I can like you and be friendly and care about you but I only let so many people into the Robin area. I am only fond of a certain amount of people. I don't want to say that I just don't care about most people - but I don't. I care for the people who put in the time. Mae has my heart. God, I love her. She is kind, she is smart and she looks out for me. She listens - oh gosh the things she's put up with. She's been there for big changes - boys, friendship break-ups and me starting a new college. She's modeled for me and taught me so many things about photography. She's my late night Chai and a good meaty talk. She has helped me come out of my shell. I will forever be in debt for all the support and coaxing she has done. (yes it has taken a lot of coaxing for me to get out and try things!)
I love her to pieces and am thrilled I get to spend my birthday with her beautiful face down in her LA stomping grounds. There is no better way to ring in my 24th year. Cheers. See you in a week Maeby <3
Here are the few pictures I got during the visit. I was too busy chatting and being involved in the present mae.
ttfn,
Robin
