This is really my first big video adventure. I chose an interview piece that I was passionate about, something that really meant something to me. I had a team help me with the various camera angles and the audio equipment during the initial interview but the rest was done by me. This process really took me for a spin. The video here is the second edit and it took me a couple weeks after my version one to come back and look at it a second time. I got so caught up in the editing that I was a huge ball of emotions and nerves, taking a break really did me some good.
This piece is about my Mom and a leap she took in her early twenties. I have always admired her for her bold and unshrinking personality and I like to think I have inherited the travel bug from her. I have grown up on her countless stories of adventures and the people she met along the way. Diving into this project, I took the extra time to look through all the slides and scan them digitally and in that process I got to know some new things about her. It was a pleasure reminiscing and just listening, something that I haven't had enough time for during this school year.
I wanted something I could watch when I'm older and I am really proud of the project. I hope you enjoy it!
